The Radiation Safety Program Administration course, presented by Carolina Safety & Health Consultants, LLC, is designed to teach you how to run a Radiation Safety Program. However, it is also part of a three-module course package designed to meet the state radiation control program minimum training requirements for radiation safety officer (RSO) certification for radiation protection programs that include the operation of electronic radiation generating devices and radioactive materials sealed sources. 

Learning Outcomes: 

1. The Radiation Safety Program - its primary elements and implementation. 
2. Overview of radiation protection - understanding the legal and regulatory requirements for implementing a radiation safety program. 
3. The RSO’s duties and responsibilities - and the North Carolina Regulations for Protection Against Radiation requirements. 
4. Radiation safety program manual. 
5. Primary elements of a radiation safety program - including understanding reporting and recordkeeping requirements. 
6. Regulatory dose limits. 
7. Unit conversions - understanding the mathematical calculations necessary for RSOs. 

Each Lesson will have one or more videos to watch, and a quiz. Each Quiz must have 75% or higher passing grade. You can pause and re-watch the videos as often as you'd like, and retake each quiz if needed. Once you have Completed all 7 Lessons in this course, you can download your Certificate of Completion!
